Question:
I am trying to decide between FUE and FUT. I like the idea of having less scarring but I have heard that it is not exactly true that the donor area looks untouched with FUE and that excision marks would be visible if you shave your head. Is this true?

Answer:
It is true that there is no such thing as scarless surgery. In some cases, however, where you randomly take out many FUE (Follicular Unit Excision) excision grafts from the donor area, when the hair has grown in it is virtually undetectable. If, however, enough FUE excision are done from the same donor region, eventually tiny little punctate scars can connect and you can have a general thinning of the back of the head.
