Follicular Unit Transplantation removes a thin strip of hair from the donor area that is dissected into individual grafts which are natural groupings of hair that contain 1, 2 or 3 hairs (follicular units) and are then placed into the recipient sites.
Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) is where each follicular unit is harvested from the back of the head one by one with a tiny .7mm – 1mm punch hole.
